Hit the buttons on the microwave, timer/four/five/zero/zero, start.  "Mia, when the buzzer goes off come up and get me, I am going to take a nap."  "Sure Mom, no problem."  Mollie hears the word nap and follows me upstairs...she knows that word as well as she knows the word "treat"!  Close door, turn on fan for white noise, pull fleece throw out from under my side of the bed.  Rearrange pillows, throw dog on bed, climb in.  "Crap, I forgot to turn the phone off!"  Get up, grab phone, return to bed and push "Phone".  After a few seconds I hear the beautiful sound of beepbeepbeepbeepbeepbeep which lulls me into la la land... Mia wants to have a sleepover for her seventh birthday in April.  She has been adamant about this, and Tom and I have been equally adamant about holding a "Pajama Birthday Bash Minus the Sleep Over" party.  She is not buying that it would be great if all the girls went home by 10 p.m. How can I get her to come my way?  Dinner tonight, what are we going to have?  Quick inventory in my head says the only meat I've got is frozen solid.  Pasta and sauce?  Oh, and broccoli. Good enough.  Gosh, I really enjoyed the marriage conference we attended this weekend, can't remember the last time Tom and I really spent quality time talking about just us, this was a great idea to do in preparation for our anniversary.  Can't believe how lucky I am to have him, he does the dishes, vacuums ovens and refrigerators, washes down the dusty blinds, did the yard work at our house and my mom's, how did I get so lucky? It's only two weeks until spring break.  Kids really want to go somewhere since they have ten days off.  Tom has been looking at destinations we could drive to.  Galveston (did that last year, loved it), Albuquerque, New Orleans, Little Rock, Nashville, Orlando...rent a house, condo, hotel?  Who will take the dogs?  Boarding two dogs will not be cheap.  Mom will take Mollie but not Mischief...Even though the kids have off and everyone wants to get away, I still have 2 online classes that will have to follow me wherever we go which is really no vacation for me.  Last year I had to study every night and fore go an entire family day (of our 4-day break) in order to stay on top of my studies.  This year will be no different.  I wonder if Tom was able to find a suitable beef tenderloin for our wine tasting party Saturday night when he went to Sam's today...did he get Kleenex like I asked?  I hope so, we are totally out.  Crap, I forgot to have Maddux finish his chapter in the Communion book.  We have got to go over all those questions this week for his interview on Sunday.  I cannot believe these kids have to interview for First Communion now, that's crazy!  I honestly think there's more preparation work for this than there was in getting married for pete sake!  Gotta finish my last assignment for I/O Psych class, can't wait to have that behind me!  Just two more classes til I graduate, way to go girl!  Never thought I'd ever graduate...did I complete the graduate school paperwork correctly?  Gotta remember to look at that again.  I sure hope the recommendations I asked for will come in the mail this week so I can drop the paperwork off at the admissions office.  How the hell are we going to pay off an additional $30,000 in student loans?  Oh well, can't counsel others unless I have a masters degree so why panic about it, right?  Wonder what my sister-in-law is doing to keep busy now that she's on bed rest?  What will they name her...hope everything goes well from here.  I remember how nervous I was while waiting for Brigham to be born.  I am sure everything will be fine, God is good. Can't wait for summer, miss sitting by the pool with the radio on watching the kids swim while reading a book...

26 minutes and 37 seconds later I hit the "Off" button on the phone. "Screw it!!"  (I say in my out loud voice) as I jump out of bed.  Who am I kidding, I'm never gonna be able to fall asleep.  Guess I might as well finish cleaning the bathrooms...
